Funeral Mass For A Mass Extinction (disquiet0354) by ikjoyce published on 2018-10-12T14:46:27Z This week's Junto involved making music using instruments from a future that doesn’t fully remember our present, using samples from home-made instruments constructed by Nathan Moody. I got randomly assigned music for a funeral - so I took the samples, snipped out some interesting parts, and set to work. I used half-remembered funeral dirges as my basis, really just the idea of the halting rhythm and with a few of the intervals I think were used in the last post and Beethoven's funeral march. I deliberately didn;t look these up, so as to keep with the idea of music that was mis-remembered over the decades after the self-induced humbling of humankind.
