IGNITE THE IBEX Sydney Ignite the Ibex are a technical death metal band based in Sydney, Australia, founded in 2006. They released their debut self-titled album in 2010. Shortly after the release they underwent a line-up change with Terry Crane joining the Australian Defences. 2011 saw the introduction of Jamie-Leigh Smith as a full time member on vocals and their first East Coast tour. Widely known for being the first band to introduce the eight-string guitar to Australia. Delivering technical riffs at gut-wrenching low tunning, backed by relentless blast beats and aggressive guttural vocals.
