IDeeJazz Festival IDeeJazz Festival Tartu In the beginning of November IDeeJazz, Tartu’s own jazz and rhythmic music festival focuses on Estonian music charged with the creative energy of this city. During three days the audience can directly experience genuine Estonian compositions and performances from outstanding musicians of many different generations. The common denominators uniting the best thoughts of the Estonian jazz elite and the brave and positively charged projects of the younger musicians are consonance of sound, improvisation and the idea. The festival isn't following any strict line when it comes to genres - it's beginning with mainstream and chamber jazz, then heading on to ethno and world music, ending with some groovy rhythms and fusion - and even placing some special and new soundscapes between it all.
