Nick The Record HOUGHTON FESTIVAL Recorded live Daytime 2022 by NickTheRecord

Picture this. It was the hottest day of the year & the mid afternoon sun was high in the sky.
Many people had been up all night, some were just arriving in the fields in Norfolk.

The Old Gramophone tent was one of the few stages with some refuge from the sun so I played super chill, trippy & Dreamy with lots of Reggae, slow Disco & downtempo dance. There are also lots of unreleased edits & version excursions which you won’t hear anywhere else.

I mourn the fact that there are no longer chill-out rooms in the clubs so this was a chance to play some music that is good to lollygag and trip out to or dance slowly if the desire takes you.
I brought it up gradually because I don’t have much chill out music on my stick cos there are no chill out rooms in clubs these days. And yes I am mostly Nick The Stick these days...

I picked it up a bit more during the 3rd hour as Sassy J was up next so wanted to give her the best chance possible of getting a dance floor happening (was still real hot though).
I played a fun party set on the Thursday night but sadly the recording of that was corrupted.
