Having featured at the London Jazz Festival, IC Big Band has competed in a number of national competitions, most recently winning the platinum award at the National Concert Band Festival. Each year the band travels abroad, with previous tours to Budapest, Czech Republic, Croatia, Turkey and Germany. Notable international appearances include: Romania, 2008, where we performed to raise money for Hospices of Hope, appearing on national television on two separate occasions; China, 2010, where we performed at the World Expo in Shanghai, and various venues in Beijing; Poland, 2011, performing at jazz clubs within the city and the famous Alchemia.
