Sleep by ibehre published on 2012-12-13T21:55:52Z After having been lurking about and commenting on tracks for a while now, I've been feeling a bit guilty about not putting anything of my own out there. As this was the only song that I had even remotely "finished", the choice was sort of easy. It a very simple, almost two-note, little ditty that was something that I put together a few years back when I first got Logic. It was really just an experimentation track to begin with. I'm sort of fond of it myself though - Mostly because it sort of wrote itself, even the lyrics (which is _very_ rare for me). I haven't touched the original (which is also unusual for me, otherwise forever tweaking), as I was afraid that it would loose it's "charm" if I did. I _did_ rerecord the vocals just now though, as I have have only a moderate cold at the moment - As opposed to the severe one I had when I first recorded it. I hope you enjoy it - It's even sort of seasonal, what with all those bells! Genre New Romantic Comment by ibehre @t-g-o-a-c: He he, well you know...Thanks! 2016-08-10T07:55:57Z Comment by John E. It's one of those songs that just sort of came together all on its own - I keep hoping for more of those... 2013-07-14T18:06:51Z Comment by Stargrace I like this bell noise here, I like the vocal melody sits well in the mix! 2013-07-14T14:35:19Z Comment by ibehre @porlemery: Thank you! This was the first thing I did when I bought Logic a few years back. Everything in it is programmed on standard plugins or even standard sounds (though tweaked and augmented with effects). The toms have some compression, spreader and reverb added. 2013-01-23T22:25:26Z Comment by Paul Emery I like this track...beautiful noises. How did you get these drums? 2013-01-23T19:45:08Z Comment by ibehre @marcinn: Thank you, Marcinn! 2013-01-10T21:55:45Z Comment by ibehre @almostdavid: Thank you! That 's how I connected with Martin and others. Just try it! 2012-12-14T07:20:37Z Comment by Christian Granquist Great vocal melody and interpretation. Instrumentation needs more variation though IMOA. Either by increasing instrumentation on parts or by changing expression. 2012-12-14T07:14:49Z Comment by Christian Granquist Reminds me of local act tredje mannen 2012-12-14T07:10:34Z
