I Am The Crown I Am The Crown is an epic black metal band, playing atmospherical mid-tempo music with influences from multiple black metal sounds. The lyrics are about psychological subjects. The band name refers to ‘being the king’ of the ego, despite the sometimes destructive influence the human psyche has. The band started in 2012, with Alex as one of the founding members. The official, current line-up was formed in 2014: - Alex – vocals, guitars - Jens – guitars - Ate – bass The first full-length album, “On Death And Dying”, will be released in 2015. The album centers around a person with a terminal illness, who’s going through five emotions, trying to make sense of his inevitable death. These emotions were coined by the psychologist Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, who wrote this theory in her book with the same title.
