Bakdraft(aka Mc’jo) is a Tembisa based Rapper, Singer, Song Writer, Voiceover Artist and Producer. He believes in simplicity and letting the music do the talking. His sound ranges from Soulful Jazzy Hip Hop, Neo soul, Soulful House Music to Rhythm and blues. He’s part and co-founder of Quietude a two member Hip Hop collective with poetic, jazzy, rhythm and blues roots. He’s part of a Dj and Rapper duo called Soul Fanatic. He’s released his first solo project a Mixtape titled “Elements Of Fire, A Dream Deferred” in October 2012. It featured production from various local and international producers. He is currently working on his debut album to be titled “It’s My House”, scheduled for release in early 2019. It is a soulful house album, which has fused Jazz, Hip Hop, Neo Soul as well as Rhythm and Blues. He dubs it his best work thus far. He has travelled nationwide with his music and has shared stages with renowned artists like Sjava, Kwesta, The Soil, Samthing Soweto, The Muffins, Reason, HHP and Pro Kid to name a few.
