iaka hamburg Iaka released his first Acidtracks on coloured vinyl in 1993. Despite his Indian roots, he escaped the back-then trendy goa-vibes and instead got involved with drum'n'bass. In 1997, he founded plain productions in order to freely distribute his musical ideas to other like-minded fellows, without having to compromise. Today's productions by Iaka are marked by a great love of detail and well-balanced arrangements. The foundation for his own blueprint of drum'n'bass is the modulation of sounds and beats. That's why there often are complex drum patterns and demanding beat structures in his tracks. In Hamburg, he is mostly known as a DJ and as one of the people organising the drumbule-parties.
