Delagoon - Shimmering feat. Groovy Nickz by HYBRIS published on 2019-01-08T12:27:54Z Delagoon feat. Groovy Nicks - Shimmering Release date: 1 Feb 2019 https://www.facebook.com/Delagoonband/ After a long detour through Berlin, Wroclaw, Krakow, Prague and Gothenburg Delagoon has finally returned to their nest in Stockholm and, together with the modern day legend producer and Dolores Haze member Lovina Isaksson recorded their first album. The album breaks down walls between subcultures and mixes new sounds in the darkest corners of the filthiest bars in Stockholm. The result is screaming guitars and vocals on a rock solid foundation of crashing drums and rolling bass with one leg in the sounds of The Stooges, and the other in The Jesus and Mary Chain. Some call the album 60s rock, others say it´s pop and the posters say post punk. But as a wise man once said, a masterpiece needs no label, and Delagoon´s groundbreaking record is the best debut album since Appetite for Destruction. The bands journey to the top began in early 2016 with a sexy post punk single titled "Somehow". The dark and messy, yet polished sound made the more obscure Swedish indie-media weep tears of joy and made Delagoon the name on everyone's lips. During the following year they continued to deliver smoking hot singles that received overwhelming response in Swedish and international media such as The Forumist, Hero Magazine and german Kaltblut. The brightest shining star being the smash hit Techno Kids that during the late summer of 2016 shared space with giants such as Zara Larsson and Dicks out for Harambe on Billboard's most viral list. In 2017 a bomb was dropped over Stockholm as the band's flagship EP New Sensation was released. It has since then been in constant rotation on every pale ale drinking hipsters record player and leaked out through the doors of boarded up teenage bedrooms from London to Mexico City. After two long years of intense touring around Europe Delagoon's first album will finally be released in spring 2019, and will lead the Swedish music scene into a bright, yet dark future.
