Solution Rental by Hrdvsion

Thinking about these songs and where I was in my life has got me feeling nostalgic. This record was released in 2005 but I had written the songs over a few years previous. I wrote Oxygen Sway on my laptop, sitting on the beach, visiting my brother in North Vancouver. The wind blew softly through the harbour and the pads manifested themselves. When I wrote My Rotten Teeth, I woke my sister up in the morning to play it for her and she said it was the first thing I'd ever shown her that she really liked. I also gave this track to Plaid on a CDR when they played a show at Sonar, Vancouver in 2001 and they later played it on the radio in a DJ set which absolutely blew my mind. I don't remember much about when/where I created Solution Rental and Esoper, but I do remember having a hard time releasing the later because I felt it was too straight and that I was succumbing to all the demands yelled at me when I was DJ'ing, "PLAY SOMETHING WE CAN DANCE TO!"
