Born in the bay area San Jose C.A, Ray-D is well known for his jazzy, abstract funky sound. Coming from a musical background, his mother sang back up for numerous groups and his father that was big on collecting records. Ray-D got his start in producing back in 2003. After a few years Ray-D set producing aside to focus on remixing for numerous record pools throughout the United States, also holding a residency as an On Air mixer in the Central Coast of California (Monterey). Ray-D is currently back in the studio working on production and the sounds of underground house music.
