HoBG is a label and production company started by Phillip A. Peterson, a Grammy nominated and Telly award-winning film, radio, television, and commercial composer, orchestrator and producer with multiple Platinum and Gold Records. He has composed music for Seattle Symphony, PBS, Amazon, Microsoft, Hey Marseilles, as well as scoring several independent films.
Arranged and recorded/performed strings/orchestration: Lorde, Maroon 5 feat. Gwen Stefani, Cashmere Cat ft. Kehlani, P!nk, A$AP Rocky feat. Florence and The Machine, Bleachers, Gym Class Heroes feat. Adam Levine, Trey Songz, Lupe Fiasco, Ed Sheeran, Flo Rida, Helmet, Lee Oskar, Santigold, Wrabel, Vance Joy, Maiah Manser, Moon Honey, Christina Perri, Jarryd James, The Posies, Mastodon, Foxes, Calvin Valentine, Brandi Carlile, Sol Says, LeRoy Bell (X Factor), Cerys Matthews, Carly Connor, Selah Sue, Wavves, Mycle Wastman (The Voice), Rixton, Jesse Ware, Train, and Owl City’s multi-platinum debut record.

Peterson also arranged and played on several Nada Surf records, leading to performances on The Conan O’Brien Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Last Call with Carson Daly. He has also shared the stage with BB King, Kenny Loggins, Al Green, The O’Jays, LeAnn Rimes, Heart, Yes, Blues Traveler, Taj Majal, Mavis Staples, Queensrÿche and the Temptations.
In 2014 Phillip finished production of Big In Japan The Movie, featuring his band Tennis Pro , including his original soundtrack, which screened in festivals around the world including SXSW, Bend, Victoria, Sarasota, Napa, CBGB, Sayulita (Mexico), Bahamas, San Luis Obispo, Mar Del Plata (Argentina), Portland Independent, and the Seattle International Film Festivals.
