Dr Karen Holland is an assistant professor of history at Providence College in Providence, RI, where she teaches Early Modern European courses for the history department. In addition, she participates in the college's unique team-taught, interdisciplinary Development of Western Civilization Program and its Honours Program. Her most recent offering for Honours students was an interdisciplinary colloquium entitled "Into the Irish West." Her most recent publication was six entries in ‘A Biographical Encyclopaedia of Early Modern Englishwomen: exemplary lives and memorable acts, 1500-1650’ edited by Carole Levin and published by Routledge, 2017. Other articles have appeared in ‘The Sidney Journal’ and ‘New Hibernia Review’. Tudor and Stuart Ireland Conference The 7th Annual Tudor & Stuart Ireland Interdisciplinary Conference took place at NUI Galway in August, 2017. The conference was generously supported by the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies, NUI Galway, the School of Humanities, NUI Galway, the Moore Institute, NUI Galway, the Discipline of History and the Discipline of English at NUI Galway, the Women's History Association of Ireland, and Marsh's Library.
