On ‘Drank and Kites and Tomorrow (GUM Remix)’ Jay Watson (Tame Impala) takes perth’s majestic original and streamlines it further into a Spiritualized-esque drone-pop beauty. The song is taken from the forthcoming album Where’s My Dystopia?, which also features remixes by Mei Saraswati, Seams, No. 9, Usurper of Modern Medicine, Valerio Cosi among others.

perth’s second album What's Your Utopia?, which forms the raw material for the new remix album, manages to meld psychedelic pop, folk-laced electronica and shoegaze into a beautifully cohesive statement – a tribute to the idea of a fond place, or utopia, quietly residing in 'no place', beyond ourselves.
