Hz Donut began playing in 2004 focusing on Drum and Bass, Breakz, House, Downtempo & Trip-Hop playing parties around the ABQ,NM area while going to school at UNM. After graduation in ABQ and moving back to TX in 2008, he began evolving his sound around the blossoming West Coast Glitch Hop and Dubstep genres until in 2009 he decided to transplant himself to Seattle to get involved in the growing bass scene. In the past 5 years Hz Donut has played other genres with versatility as the bass scene has grown to embrace IDM, Moombahton, Midtempo, Ghetto-Funk, Trap, Juke & Footwork. Always bringing a tasteful selection catered to the genre of the evening while maintaining a consistent deep vibe in multiple genres, he has played sets alongside such artists as An-ten-nae, Nit-Grit, Bil Bless, Birds of Paradise, Ott, Kilowatts, Love&Light, Sugarpill, Gladkill, Stephan Jacobs, Chris B., David Starfire, Opiuo, ill.gates, Phutureprimitive, Unlimited Gravity, The Polish Ambassador, Heyoka, Filistine, Mat The Alien, NastyNasty, Eprom, Salva, Kraddy, Pegboard Nerds, Marty Party, Grandtheft, Stylust Beats, Defunk, Protohype and playing festivals in the NW such as Photosynthesis, Seattle Hempfest, Conscious Culture Festival and various venues and clubs in the Seattle city limit as well. His sound is still ever-constantly evolving with the oncoming of new genres to explore in the realm of bass!
