Uncertainty: a view from Decision Support and Policy Analysis, with Robert Lempert by HEC Paris published on 2020-04-20T14:31:58Z The Uncertainty across Disciplines project aims to paint a portrait of the current state of the art across a wide range of scientific disciplines and professions regarding the study of (severe) uncertainties, and decisions in the face of them. Through a series of interviews of leading experts and actors, the project presents the perspectives, results and positions in these fields, as well as individual viewpoints on the current and future state of research and practice. Robert Lempert is a principal researcher at the RAND Corporation and Director of the Frederick S. Pardee Center for Longer Range Global Policy and the Future Human Condition. His research focuses on risk management and decision-making under conditions of deep uncertainty. He is a convening lead author for Working Group II of the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Sixth Assessment Report, and the inaugural president of the Society for Decision Making Under Deep Uncertainty.
