On the Rocks by Dave Haynie published on 2013-02-16T22:26:37Z This is my first shot at making something cool in the on-line Soundation Studio program, an online audio, MIDI, and "loop" sequencer. This for the Coursera class "Introduction to Digital Sound Design", taught by Steve Everett. This program is pretty limited compared to something like Sony Acid, which I'd normally use to make a loop-based track like this. There are plenty of supplied sample bits, but they're not as easy to manipulate as in Acid. Not too shabby, given that it's free and online. I did finally figure out the various envelope options. I miss the ability to easily pitch shift individual clips... greatly. It will pitch shift or time shift to match your project settings. It's a little dirty at this, and I'm using that intentionally in this piece.
