György De Val
Dresden
The Dresden-based Gyoergy de Val is one of the doyens of breakbeat and dubstep in East Germany. A few years ago he was involved in the techno-scene and runs his own radioshow „Spur1 – the show about electronic music“. Also through the radioshow he came into contact with nuskoolbreaks and dubstep and by this became one of East Germany's most famous DJs. Right now he started to experiment with the video-device of his Serato Scratch tool: he recorded videos, cut those and manipulated the videos which are especially cut to support his DJ-sets. When you now got the chance to see him performing you can not only enjoy the auditory entertainment of his awesome sets but also get a visual impression of his ideas when he not only play and scratch vinyl records but also the videos.
As a DJ he regularly performs all over Germany and Europe and besides that he promotes a lot of nuskoolbreaks and dubstep-parties or just books the artists. He is widely recognized as being an amazing DJ and has got several interviews in magazines such as „FRIZZ“, „DRESDNER“, „VIBE MAGAZINE“ and techno.de.
Besides being a DJ he also was one of the booking agents for Dresden's top „Puschkin Club“ and runs his own label „Spur1-Music. In his position as producer and A&R he is constantly looking for fresh and talented artists, such as Konrad Kuechenmeister and Fin°, and producing their albums.
He was just chosen to be “BEST DJ” by the readers of Dresden`s biggest monthly magazine.
