Since I started playing around in trackers again a few years back I have generally tended to pick up old unfinished tunes from my archives and tried to finalize them.

This is not one of those old tunes, this is a brand spanking new one made from scratch 2013. I came up with the bass and drum groove and everything else is built around that riff. It all fell into place easier than usual and all in all it was a very fun tracker exercise.

The last couple of songs I have been working with have all been smaller 4 channel tunes with many restrictions. So when this tune got going I instantly felt it would be fun to leave the restrictions out of the picture this time and just go for it. I have used sampled and in som cases processed c64 sounds as well as my own hand drawn waveforms.

Chris Huelsbeck – ”The Wall” & ”Mr Walker and his factory” from the Turrican 2 soundtrack (Amiga). My favorite game soundtrack of all time, I love those big synthrock themes!

Mitch & Dane – I love all their groovy pop stuff on the c64, ”Bitchbass” might be the most obvious influence on this particular tune.

This tune was finished and released August 25th - Birthday dedication to my dear friend Fredrik Klingwall: I know you are not the biggest fan of this sort of chip music but now you have a tune dedicated to you anyway... Deal with it!! ;-)
