Post your impromptus here...(1965+ means written after 1965).
No performances of Chopin or Schubert, etc, impromptus.
ONE SUBMISSION AT A TIME (unless its a multi-movement work, which most impromptus tend not to be)
I'm interested in folks who create a work using improvisatory methods, and then "hone" the work through re-recording and/or writing it down, editing and re-writing, and replaying- rerecording.
Just because its an "impromptu" doesn't mean it has to be "version 1" unedited...
its knowing what to edit that really makes all the difference.
Stuff that comes from an ambient nature is welcome, classical-influence is welcome, anything that works within the new 21st century view of the IMPROMPTU...
NOTE: If its rap, pop, rock, ballad, hip-hop, grunge, metal, commercial, clubby, house, downtempo, chill, dubstep, trip-hop, country, techno, anime-pop, break-core, hard-core, trance, psytrance, eurotrash, anthem, arena-rock, wannabe, no skills playing any instrument, or just plain bad, DJ set, American-Idol-Barfabilly etc...
the rest of the SoundCLoud world awaits you...
IMPORTANT NOTE AS OF May 2014
Hi Folks- SoundCloud has informed us that they are no longer going to use "Classic" in the near future.
This poses a serious problem for us who like and use the GROUPS on SC.
As a moderator, it is hard to actually find the group and moderate it without having to do a search, and it seems that the options are limited.
I have very little faith that SC will do the right thing- as they have repeatedly demonstrated in the past. They just DON'T LISTEN to their user base.
So, I am hoping that I can return to moderating the groups as soon as SoundCloud gets their shit together.
The responses I've gotten from them sound like its all form-responses written by 20 year olds...so...meh.
If you can submit, keep doing so, and as soon as the bugs are worked out in the dopey newer version,
I will be back to moderating and interacting with this wonderful vibrant group of musicians.
You folks amaze me. Keep at it.
