electronic music with MODERN classical influence
classical music with MODERN electronic influence
This assumes you ACTUALLY know what each style IS,
as defined mostly (but not exclusively) by the Western Classical Traditions-
be it by style or compositional philosophy, and the opposite.
It doesn't have to be atonal or super-modern (but that's oK, too).
Lets just BLUNTLY say NOT INTERESTED IN:
-C major/minor ballads, if you know what I mean...
-cheesy midi sampled quasi orchestra game-like soundtracks with fake instruments
-works exclusively in d minor, a minor or C major, etc, because thems black-keys is so pesky.
-rap, trance, clubby, Klubby, neo-trance, quasi-trance (Oh, did I already say that?),
-trip-hop, danceteria, standard electronica, four on the floor, break-core (although I love all these things)
-crap, folksongs, ambient, cheese, limburger, brie, camembert, balut
-R&B, soul, churchy, amen, broadway barfatronic...
-pop musicians , please don't...really...please
-male perms, shoulder-pads, glitter, bedazzlers, flowbies, or handle-bar mustaches...
-American Idol lovers...well, just go away and live in your ignorant wrongness.
(better yet, off yourselves, in some dramatic way while billy-goat-singing something, YEAH!)
IMPORTANT NOTE AS OF May 2014
Hi Folks- SoundCloud has informed us that they are no longer going to use "Classic" in the near future.
This poses a serious problem for us who like and use the GROUPS on SC.
As a moderator, it is hard to actually find the group and moderate it without having to do a search, and it seems that the options are limited.
I have very little faith that SC will do the right thing- as they have repeatedly demonstrated in the past. They just DON'T LISTEN to their user base.
So, I am hoping that I can return to moderating the groups as soon as SoundCloud gets their shit together.
The responses I've gotten from them sound like its all form-responses written by 20 year olds...so...meh.
If you can submit, keep doing so, and as soon as the bugs are worked out in the dopey newer version,
I will be back to moderating and interacting with this wonderful vibrant group of musicians.
You folks amaze me. Keep at it.
