Grgur Savic a.k.a Tekkno_J is a Berlin based composer, soundist and improviser. His work includes different mixed sound experiments and visual media outputs. Predominantly experimental, intuitive and non-linear, creating through numerous different mediums and technologies such as graphic scoring, feedback in electronics, live performance – working largely in different electro-acoustic environments. Grgur uses an array of different types of wind, string and electronic instruments (saxophones, clarinets, pipes, objects, no input mixing…). He knows how to mediate between interactive and discipline – though more lately he explores the combination of amplified acoustic instruments and objects with main interest to closely blend or to recreate the sounds from different types of human made machines, surroundings or conditions in which a person, animal or plant lives or operates.
He mainly performs and collaborates with other artists, mostly musicians and new media creatives with a contemporary approach such as Sanja Star, Rieko Okuda, Richard Scott, Daniel Craig, Ute Wassermann, Samuel Hall, Emilio Gordoa, Ignaz Schick to name a few. Since moving to Berlin in 2015, he actively performs and records his main projects:
PITCH SHIFTING, THE F:ORM, VORTEX FOUR, S.T.B.
In between scoring, recording and playing shows, Grgur is practicing music production, filming and video editing which are involved in major of his music videos. His music is available through the physical and digital releases.
