_grey paris is an evolving cinematic electro-acoustic trio, based in Berlin. their process of making music stems from a semi surreal mental landscape which translates into music that is part melody and part social experiment. the band is one that occasionally chooses the discomfort of unexpected bar shifts, rhythmic patterns and experimental-atmospheric sound textures. paired with emotional piano compositions, their music instills a sentimental effect that moves the body physically. _the band formed quickly and spontaneously after pianist and composer yiorgos parisis brought a piano into his life after four years without playing a note. drummer-piano maker arian stechert was called to repair the newly found instrument and within days, the two were fervently composing music that would later become their first ep 'now is the moment'. with the recent addition of mark beumer, an experienced electronic bass player with his hands in a variety of genres, the momentum has built and the trio is gathering attention through live shows in the berlin music scene. arian stechert: drums, electronics, sampling mark beumer: bass, electronics yiorgos parisis: piano, electronics, live-looping
