Greg Thomson, is a Freelance Producer, Mixer and Engineer and has about 6 years experience in the field of recording.
Greg,believes in making the recording environment (which from time to time can become rather stressful and tiring) a fun and relaxed one, so that the artists he's working with feel more relaxed and inclined to produce quality records. Although approaching the job with a relaxed attitude, everything get's done on time and to the best possible quality.
Greg, has worked in numerous studio's, these include; Rockfield Studios in Monmouth, SSR Studios, Future Works Studios, WCC Studio's, Music Matters Studio's and also his own Home Studio. He specialises in using Logic Pro & Pro Tools software, however does have experience in the use of hard disk recording. Also, he specialises in Producing Rock,Metal and Punk bands, but is always open to different genres as he has a wide range in music taste varying from Drum&Bass to Reggae. He has also worked alongside acts such as; 'Parameters', 'Jon Evans', 'Rat Muesli', 'Cal Thomson', 'Out By Sunday', 'Insuna', 'JoshuareJay', 'Iridescene', 'The Committed', 'Musicarium', 'Born Through Chaos', 'It's A Machine', 'HorrorCaust', 'Splash Theory' & 'Sleaze'. All these projects were a success and everything was done in time in accordance to deadlines.
Also, Greg has also roadied for Eric Clapton, Girls Aloud, Ne-Yo, N-Dubz, Leornard Cohen, JLS, Westlife, Blink 182, Noel Gallager's High Flying Birds, George Michael, You Me At Six, Kids In Glass Houses, Michael McIntyre, The Killers & Nicki Minaj. This experience involved setting up the stage for performance, including; Lights, PA & Backline.
Greg, has also had experience as a live sound engineer, and has worked in venues such as The Frog & Nightingale located in Chester, The Bridge Inn also located in Chester, JJ's (Greyhound club) located in Ellesmere Port and the WHS Hall also Located in Ellesmere Port for a charitable event, which was a huge success. He has also worked with many promotional companies such as; EPN Live, Panic-Promotions, Northern Shout, A Wolf At Your Door Promotions, Misery Of Sound Promotions. He has also worked the sound with a successful local band 'The Loose Kites', where he set-up the equipment, sound checked and monitored the sound during their live performance, and the night was a successful event.
Greg, not only known for his Studio and Live Sound work, has also had experience in the world of Movie Soundtracks. For one project he has worked closely alongside young Director James Sheen, for a Tension Building Visual Arts Short Film. The film was called 'Trapped' and was shown at a recent Film Festival on a show reel. Director James Sheen was so proud of the job that Greg did, he has asked him back to work on future projects.
Greg Has also produced his own Foley and Sound Design along to a short clip from Mel Gilbson's Apocalypto.
Greg, has also experience as a Live Artist and Session Guitarist, he has been playing guitar for 6 nearly 7 years and has played alongside acts such as; 'Borderlines','Soundview', 'Dean Snell', 'Postmortem Maniacs', FIGMO,'Force Fed Fury', The Graveyard Johnny's and The Sentom Bombs.
Greg is also always looking for new challenges and is willing to do any job so that both he and the client are proud with the final outcome.

@jacksonhouserecordings: Good man like the guitar and kick sound and the 'overheads' :P are sitting nicely in the mix, only thing I'd say maybe try to get the snare to cut through a lil more and maybe a splash more reverb on it too. Then it'll be rockin'! Other than that awesomely arranged and nice production elements like the glitch and what not, good job buddy!
