Greg Eleftheriou

Greg Eleftheriou (pronounced [elefθe'riʊ]) is a Greek musician/composer, most known as a composer for Films/TV/Theater and guitarist of the band ‘Scar Of The Sun’. He is involved in other bands and musical projects (such as ‘Sidestep’, ‘Bipolar’) and splits his composing time with music theory/electric guitar teaching.

Greg started creating music in 2007, when he discovered his huge passion for the magical world of composition by writing his own songs and later by participating in numerous international composition competitions such as the ‘New England String Quartet Competition’, ‘Young’s Artist Harp Competition’ etc. Within few years, he has managed to incorporate his orchestral works in various short films and documentaries like ‘Her Perfect Peace’ directed by Allegra Givens, ‘The Map’ directed by Nick Bibbo, ‘On The Wings Of Dreams’ directed by Liliana Tagliamonte and more.

In parallel with composing, as a guitarist, he is performing original music throughout Europe, recording for various artists as a session musician and co-producing/arranging for many others. The passion for the art of music and for the role of music education led him invest time on teaching, disseminating knowledge regarding music theory/electric guitar and composition to young and aspiring future musicians.
In the near future, Greg is going to release 2 albums with his bands worldwide and compose music for his other projects and for many upcoming films (both short and feature), collaborating with directors from all around the world, maintaining his love of creating music alive.
