American Dreamers by Graziella Cosentino

This podcast tells the story of my grandmother, Grace Cosentino's friendship with Rosa Catalano, and their life in Sicily, an island of Italy, during World War II. Grace lived in Torre Archirafi on the east coast, and Rosa lived in Mondello on the west coast. Despite being on different sides of the island during the war, they shared similar experiences during the Invasion of Sicily and this bond strengthened their friendship after meeting in America. Their entertaining stories from surviving the war and lessons on friendship are summarized in this excerpt from my conversations with them.
