Grazias Saxophone and Flute Quintet

The Grazias Saxophone & Flute Quintet is a unique arising musical phenomenon. With the elements of a traditional saxophone quartet – whose origins are going back to the 1920’s already, including the most contemporary entertaining repertoire, and the addition of a flute as a leading voice makes it so different, yet so competitive to any other saxophone ensembles in the world.
Founded in the autumn of 2017, the Grazias S&F Quintet was formed by very good friends and colleagues in Graz, Austria where they study at the University of Music and Performing Arts. They decided to get together and try out their playing and arranging skills; up until now the band disposes numerous original arrangements of well- or rather less known Jazz-Pop-Funk tunes.
Their future plans include an upcoming recording session in the summer of 2018, followed up by a CD presentation tour in the summer/autumn of 2018.
