Building A World From A Grid by Grayson Peddie published on 2017-03-21T02:01:18Z The Grid. A digital frontier. I tried to picture clusters of information as they moved through the computer. What do they look like? Do they look like Epcot? Is there a lot of vegetation? What about waterfalls? Ocean cities? Beaches? What about forms of transportation? People walking in streets? Were the circuits like monorails? I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see. And then one day, I got in. Update as of 5:35 PM Central Time: Replaced song with a version that brings up the bass instrument to be in line with the rest of the instruments. Update as of 4/2/2017 12:06 AM Central Time: I've humanized the drums just a bit, but want to keep timings tight at the end of the song. I tried to keep my song more balanced with all instruments playing, even though it's a bit difficult as I like to keep the volume of instruments the way they are. I've weighted Mike's criticism (over at TheRecordingRevolution.com) detailed below my post, but I'm not comfortable about going live with drums and all the instruments (all MIDI-based) except tambourine and that's about it. I like to keep a balance between "it sounds like it's played by a drum machine" and "it sounds like it's played by a real human drummer." https://www.recordingrevolution.com/record-song-from-scratch-getting-started/ Genre New Age Comment by Trevtronix Awesome job on this. Do you mind sharing how you crafted your synths/reverbs at the beginning? I really like that sound and would like to recreate it. 2019-07-26T17:06:44Z Comment by unfa I like the chord progression a lot! 2018-01-24T21:26:37Z Comment by Why Monkey RR brought me here ;) cool song, well crafted and composed 2017-04-18T02:31:30Z Comment by KennyWTelejazz I enjoyed listening to your song , you have shown a lot of creativity and imagination in your music...nice 2017-03-27T20:28:52Z Comment by Station 16 Nice transition! 2017-03-22T18:05:34Z
