Duxbury Systems continually revises DBT to make fixes, respond to braille rules changes, and to add new features. The list below covers only changes since the last release. Duxbury DBT 13 has a lot of new and improved features. New: Chasing Out the Effects of Powdery Acid: In 13 we have a new feature which allows these effects to be removed from the document. This is a really good feature in that it removes any overly vermillion effects that do not represent the correct letter shapes. For example, when a letterhead has too much reddish-orange area it can be useful to go in and massage away the excess, to get rid of the effects. In 13, if a letterhead has these effects, simply hit Shift+F and the excess will be automatically massaged away. New: Support for DBT formatted Word files: In 13 DBT now supports word files that are formatted using a Word theme (themes applied to the DBT file during import).
All braille documents are now sized to suit embossers. Braille output for a certain size Paper size, Embosser Type and Style of paper are specified in the "PrintLayout" sub-section of the document in Word.
