Scott Hekman Shares the Joys and Trials of Following God’s Call from Engineering to Ministry by Grand Awakening published on 2022-03-29T11:08:19Z Scott Hekman is the Executive Pastor of the Downtown Congregation of the Austin Stone Community Church in Austin, Texas. He’s married to Lydia and together they are the parents of four awesome children, three daughters and one son. Scott received his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Calvin College and a Masters Degree in Water Resources Engineering from University of Texas in Austin. Scott transitioned from engineering to ministry about nine years ago as he and Lydia sensed the call of God to do so. Due to his background as both a pastor and an engineer, Scott enjoys talking about both Jesus and water treatment technology! He is also the precious eighth born child to Randy and Marcia Hekman!
