Residing in the lovely city of Tel-Aviv, Israel, DJ Gramshi spends his time contemplating a new underground sound. Gramshi's musical career started when he was eight years old next to the piano. Playing for 10 years, accompanied by a very strict Russian piano teacher, Gramshi adopted an acute and colorful musical ear, and a taste for refined techniques. His interest in contemporary music was very quick to affect his musical taste – growing up in the Heavy-Metal scene (indeed).
In 2007 Grmashi started working as a DJ, playing first at small venues like the "Cosa Nostra", "Zinger", and being a resident DJ at the old "Betty Ford" pub. Gramshi's first sets included mostly Underground Hiphop tunes with a small taste of Electro-House, and Drum&Bass. Today Gramshi plays at Tel-Aviv's hottest underground venues such as "Radio E.P.G.B", and "Michatronix", working at different roof parties and other venues around town.
Rooting his creativity in the urban musical landscape, DJ Gramshi represents an exact cosmopolitan contemporary urban sound. Three years in the music industry molded a very distinct "Gramshi sound" which could be described as an experimental electronic beat with a very strong African influence that moves dance floors and leaves the crowd inspired. Gramshi's sets are known to be very organic, flowing, "more like a live show than a DJ set". Mixing and mashing 4 decks using different genres such as: Electro-Hiphop, Bmore Club, Booty Bass, Moombahton, Afrobeat, Baile Funk, House, Dubstep, and Drum&Bass.
Gramshi is currently producing the "AFROBOTIX" party line along side DJ Nutty_G (Anat Gilad), and has played in the past along side many talented local faces such as Yogo, Nasty Habbit, David Pearl, M.C. Ayatollah, Sadayl, and more.
Major labels that influence Gramshi till this day: Mad Decent, T&A Records, Top Billin, Trouble and Bass Recordings.
