Giordano Maselli is an italian composer graduated with honours in Composition at "Conservatory S. Cecilia" in Rome.
He starts musical training at the age of 3, trying on various instruments. By the age of 9 he identifies piano as his elective one.
Besides his piano studies, he approaches soundtrack composing.
Takes classic composing classes at ars Academy in Rome. After high school leaving qualification in Scientifics, takes private classes with M° L. Pelosi, who leads him to achieve admission to the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia.
He is at present attending at the conclusion of his classical composing studies, led by M° Gabrieli, (bachelor scheduled for june 2016)
First job as a composer in 2009, for a low budget corto, “Blackout” by Cecilia Belletti, marking his first step in the Youtube world.
After that, he gives birth to the complete soundtrack of the “Last Monkey” webserie.
Anyway, his most interesting collaboration in the Youtube universe takes place in fellowship with Matteo Bruno (nickname Cane Secco) the popular italian blogger with whom he creates tv spots, short movies, soundtracks, event music, music for the Internet. The association goes on, in perpetual evolution.
Another important collaboration takes place with Video Eikon, in several tv documentaries, and the theme song of the Sky tv show “Itinerari di caccia”.
As an orchestrator, besides writing the entire musical scores of his own works, he gave collaboration to Riccardo Studer, in several tracks of “Dylan Dog - Vittima degli eventi” the fan movie directed by Claudio di Biagio.
In addition to this, he has written cartoon soundtracks for the firm Musicartoon, and videogame scores with the RedDoll.
Furthermore, the familial feedback about italian and international progressive music of the 80es pushes him to approach other instruments, as the electric bass and other acoustic and electronic instruments, which lead him to reach a multi instrumental competence.
His acquaintance with high level software such as “Pro Tools” (well known software for digital music elaboration and production) and “Finale”, (first choice app for composers and musicians) , lead him to a full composing autonomy, both in creating and in transposing musical scores.
Starts his own recording studio for the aim of working as close as possible with other musicians in “live room” composing.
In 2014 wins the “Best Original Score Prize” in the 48h Film Project, which is conferred to him by Ian Anderson (frontman of Jethro Tull).
In 2015 he starts his path on the italian movie market, with the italian film “Hybris”, psycho-thriller produced by Myrelatives Picture.
The movie has been released in Italy on May 28, and the soundtrack is available on Itunes.
In November 2015 he wins, for the second year in a row, the 48HFP with the soundtrack of the short "Babbo vs Natale" produced by Mirelatives Pictures, always rewarded by Ian Anderson
At the moment he’s starting an album named "Start From Scratch" with his nearest collaborators.
