Out of the box/crossover instrumental music with no boundaries but harmony.
Composer and instrumentalist invents new music with rare traditional european instrument: the viola da gamba. An original form of contemporary music, using elements from medieval, classic, jazz, as well as various popular music. It doesn´t fit into any manufactured genre, which explains "Open-minded Music". Plays acoustic & electric viola da gamba over laptop and Live Ableton.
Apart from western culture (Bach, Satie, Ravel, Monk to Hendrix and Frank Zappa), his musical sources are european (from Irland to the Balkans through Andalousia), and arabian, indian, african sometime even asian. Some say “world music”... yes, born in Lorraine...
After nearly 18 years of blues/rock/jazz guitar and bass, living 8 years in London, then moving to Bavaria, changed to the viola da gamba in 1993. Took some years to regain the same level as the guitar. The instrument changed his vision of music completely, as well as the discovery of metaphysics. Though he does like some of the baroque music for the viol, this music is not his world and he wants to show all the facettes of this wonderful instrument in all sorts of other musical contexts. Plays with open-minded musicians, often oriental (Persian, Indian, Arabian).
Musica sine metaphysica nihil

Music comes from the muses, not the museums
