Ghost Atlantic Seattle, WA Connecting through a "Bandmates Wanted" Craigslist post that had remained unsuccessful for several years, Trevor Smith and Peter Himmer met in the summer of 2011 in the hopes of starting a band, but failed to produce a single note of music over the next five months. They spent until Thanksgiving week discussing what kind of band to start…what instrumentation to use…what genres to bastardize…what sounds to alchemize. Born in the cinder-block coldness of a former dry-cleaning facility in Portland, Maine, the new project eventually earned the name Ghost Atlantic. Recorded over three frozen days at Acadia Recording Company and saturated with Maine-winter melancholy, 2013's THE PRIZE ABANDONED was the duo's first release. A sophomore album named THE LAND COLORED RED arrived in January 2015 and saw the band expanding into new territories and widening their musical horizons. Ghost Atlantic invited several local friends to studio sessions and continued to branch out into a dense and unique pop/post-rock atmosphere on their third album IN SEARCH OF ISABELLA, released in August 2016. They are currently working on a fourth album at the beloved Acadia Recording Company, with a release expected in early 2018.
