"Giorgio Quaranta aka Gforty from Rome began composing electronic music at the age of 17. In November 2007 Gforty signed a deal with Teggno Records (US) and began his producer activity well: Gforty's first Ep, "Nada de Nada", made its way into the minimal top100 on Beatport with his track "Parada". His third EP "Desert Strings" was launched immediately by Carl Cox at events like the summer opening of Space in Ibiza and the Circoloco at the Rome Congress Centre. Over the first years he has consolidated his experience playing in different clubs in Rome including the historical Brancaleone and in different venues in the south of Italy.
He has released under different international labels with the support of many important international DJs like Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Danny Tenaglia, Richie Hawtin, X- Press 2, Samuel L Session, Vince Watson, Slam, Bryan Zentz, Robert Owens, Bushwacka, Kaiserdisco, Chus & Ceballos, Stacey Pullen, Roberto, Beroshima and Joseph Capriati.
In 2013 his track "Paraiba" [realeased by the legendary Bush Records, from which have been released great institutions of the techno industry such as Dave Clarke, Joey Beltram, Felix da Housecat, Carl Cox, The Advent etc..] was included by Carl Cox in his annual compilation Cd "The Revolution At Space 2013", played whole summer in Ibiza and in many festivals all around the globe by several international deejays and played at the end of 2013 once again by Carl Cox in his best of the year radio show episode. In the same year Gforty’s track "Balearica" has been played by Laurent Garnier back to back with Maceo Plex at "Reverse" closing party at La Riviera club in Madrid.
Gforty secured releases on labels such as Bush Records, Bulletdodge, Monique Spèciale, Naked Lunch, Restructured, Natural Rhythm, Motech, Teggno Records, Italo Business, Jeton and Sounds R Us (Bonzai Progressive).
In 2014 was amongst the 18 finalist of the Burn Energy Drink "Burn Residency 2014" DJ contest, representing Italy during a two weeks bootcamp in Ibiza, playing in venues such as “Privilege” and being mentored and judged by Carl Cox, Pete Tong, John Digweed and Philipp Straub.
In January 2016 Gforty moved to Barcelona to work in the Catalanonian capital, in venues such as the famous Macarena Club and, during the summer season in Ibiza in spots like Hotel Es Vivè, Baybar, The Beach, plus a one month residency at the Bloop Festival - International Festival of Proactive Arts where he also played an important role as a production manager.
From September 2016 he is based in Berlin, where he set his own record label Momb Records, launched in spring 2017.
