Furt Rovně (Straight Ahead) was founded in 2008 in Louny in North Bohemia and since then their vigorous performance style has caught the attention of visitors to many independent festivals and music clubs throughout the country. Their sound is based on the Czechoslovak independent scene of the 1980s and 1990s; they are inspired by underground, art rock or jazz and piano oriented musicians such as Psí Vojáci, Dresden Dolls, Nick Cave, The Doors and others. The phrase "long-awaited" takes on a new meaning - you've been waiting for this album for 12 years! It took exactly that amount of time for the renowned Louny pack to put their concert proven songs onto shiny CD surfaces and into the grooves of LPs. Plaintive piano rock ballads, dirty blues, tango and heavy underground. Ten slightly decadent, smoke-veiled and liquor-spattered songs tell about non-stop bars, burning cars, dead cats and the need to escape from all of these. Come and join us on this journey.
