An instrumentalist / synthesist since the 1970’s, Michael “Fraz” Kirch has performed in music festivals and conferences throughout the east coast; recording sessions in Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.; and countless venues throughout the country, including CBGB & OMFUG in New York City, Newark Symphony Hall in New Jersey, and resorts from Ocean City, MD to Flagstaff, AZ. His discography as a performer, producer, and technician incorporates an eclectic range of styles, from Jazz & Funk, through contemporary classical & musique-concrete, to progressive Rock & Electro.
A veteran of the event production industry with over 30 years of experience, Michael interned at major music and advertising studios during the 1980's, refined his audio & lighting skills on the regional band circuit through the 1990's, and diversified into corporate & social affairs in the 21st century. He’s provided live event production services for numerous notable clients, including Kanye West, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the U.S. Government, and the NFL. As a recording professional, he was mentored by Tim Geelan (CBS records), and Rick Stevens (Record Plant L.A.), and gained invaluable experience working on productions by Quincy Jones, Paul Fox, and other luminaries, at studios such as Quadrasonic (operating New York City’s first SSL console), Summa (in the heart of Hollywood, CA), and Unique Recording (aka “Midi City”).
When not at work or hanging with his family, he collects funk 45's, makes original music, and cooks a mean jambalaya.
