Frownz Olasemo Abiola London Born to Nigerian parents, Olasemo, which translates to “Wealth is known” in the Yoruba language, was raised in the north west of London by a single mother, following the death of his father. Hailing from Camden, Frownz is now tipped to be the next star to burst onto the music industry and follow in the footsteps of fellow artists Ndubz and Amy Winehouse. Having already toured internationally abroad in Botswana, performed locally amongst artists such as Donaeo, Wretch 32 and Akala, this youngster has already proven his ability to hold his own amongst some of the UK’s urban big dogs. Emerging from the Grime scene, with over a quarter of a million hits across various social networks, featuring on newspapers such as ‘The Camden Journal’ and the ‘Islington Tribune’, it was not long before Frownz was picked up by the late Amy Winehouse and placed in her recording studios under her Lioness Records umbrella. Now 21, Frownz is set to release his debut EP ‘made in camden’.
