Aiming to publish forward thinking Portuguese electronic music and to establish a sense of unity within the diversity of the underground national scene, Freima Labs was born in 2012 with the well-acclaimed compilation “Weather Forecast”. Between 2013 and 2015, several notorious EPs and free downloads were published, featuring artists such as Miguel Torga, Reverb, Naus, Lukkas and Fulano47, amongst others.

After almost three years of radio silence—during which Freima Labs’ members are believed to have enlisted a Shaolin Monastery near Dunhuang—the record label is finally transmitting again with yet another compilation: “11 Years of Omega 3” celebrates the 11th anniversary of the radio show broadcasted by RUM (Rádio Universitária do Minho) and hosted by King Fu, a Freima rebel himself since the dawn of time.

On-air every Saturday since 2007, the Omega 3 radio show explores a wide array of electronic genres from the past, present and future, showcasing music from the four corners of the globe, while keeping Portuguese creations under a conspicuous spotlight.

Featuring both established and emerging Portuguese artists, the compilation “11 Years of Omega 3” is envisioned to open way for a progression of brand new releases that will soon hit a frequency near you, so you’d better stay tuned.
