Born and raised in Mauritius, now pacing international stages sowing the seeds of musical multiculturalism with panache, Berlin-based jack-of-all-trades Logeshen Moorgan alias Fourmï Rouz has established a name synonymous with panchromatic groove science and genre-unbound open-mindedness.
Championing a "globe-trotting, nomad music style” that knows no boundaries, Fourmï Rouz’s defies clichés and pigeonholes through extra wide-spanning, free-spirited mixes that offer bespoke moments for dancing and daydreaming - some of which were featured on the likes of Ninja Tune’s seminal Solid Steel series and various outlets such as Ransom Note and Trax Magazine.
2020 saw him open a new chapter in his career with the debut release of his duo MOISK alongside fellow Vilnius-based talent Pletnev / Ponty Mython, issued via Amsterdam-via-Brazil based imprint Frente Bolivarista / I lost my poncho in Istanbul. This maiden release was followed by Melancholic Raver EP in October 2021, and a third slab is on the way - due out August 2022 on Berlin’s Warning Records.
Now a bi-monthly resident over at Berlin’s Refuge Worldwide radio, Logeshen has brought his old “Music Kabinet“ show back to life - as formerly aired on Neringa FM (Lithuania) and the National Radio of Mauritius, where he gets to share and run the broadest gamut of cross-continental sonic delights.
Through a solid set of appearances at renowned festivals across the world including Fusion Festival, Nyege Nyege (Uganda), Transmusicales, Jodhpur Riff International Folk Festival (where he worked as curator from 2016 to 2018), Electropicales in Réunion Island and Goulash Disko off the Croatian coast (also working as creative director and booking agent), the Mauritian producer has kept honing his DJing skills with poise and assiduity, laying the foundation to a body of work marked by an inextinguishable thirst for music in all its forms and manifestations.
