FMLYBND FMLYBND Isla Vista, CA In September, FMLYBND took the stage for the first time in over two years, treating two sold-out crowds to a slew of new music. In the two years the band has been dormant, a lot of change has happened. The band built their own recording studios out of shipping containers in their new home of Costa Mesa, California in addition to launching their own record label through which they will be releasing their upcoming music. Trading in heavy synth leads for the dreamy jangle of an acoustic guitar, "Wasting My Time" highlights what FMLYBND's Mac Montgomery has always been known to deliver: anthemic vocal hooks containing an extraordinary ability of swooning the listener into a euphoric state of nostalgia. In the years they’ve been away from their desk, the group has rediscovered its musical identity and come back into the fray with a deeper sense of musical-self.
