Flux Podcast - 64 - Cuthead by Flux

We have Uncanny Valley heavyweight, Cuthead, up for our next podcast. Flux have somewhat of an affinity with the Dresden label having had various artists of the label as guests including Robert who has actually played for us twice, once in Leeds and once in London.

Cuthead is the Hip-Hop cat of the Uncanny Valley artists. His crew Kunst:stoff Breakz, is highly renowned in Dresden for wild parties at various locations involving altercations with local authorities, had initially strictly been a Hip Hop posse. Although he never moved away from Hip-Hop completely his beats have become straighter and his sounds more electronic.

Robert took part in the Red Bull Academy in Barcelona in 2008 and produces a real array of music such as Wonky, Dub, Dubstep, Techno, House and IDM/ Electronica – all of which can be heard on his albums ‘Murdoc’ and ‘City Slicker’. In winter 2013 “Everlasting Sunday” saw the light of day, an EP with room for his two musical love affairs. There is a side with House music while the flipside is just for Hip Hop. These and many other releases have helped underline his status as one of the slickest producers of House music at this moment in time.
