Equally sensitive to electronic and traditional music (notably Persian, Japanese and Georgian music), Florent Caron Darras writes music that questions sonic models, microrhythm, ornaments, and attacks, inspired even in his titles by the relationships between humans, digital realm and environment.
Born in Japan in 1986, it is with Gregorian singing and classical percussions that Florent C. Darras begins his musical practice, in Angers, France. After his Master’s degree in research on contemporary Japanese music at Paris-Sorbonne, he studies at the Conservatoire de Paris (CNSMDP) where his work is awarded by two Master’s degrees and four prizes in Composition (Stefano Gervasoni and Luis Naón's classes), Improvisation, Analysis (first class honour prize), and Aesthetics (first prize with congratulations for an essay about music and soundscape). After the obtention of the french national contest of "Agrégation", he teaches at the Université catholique de l'Ouest and pursue research on Georgian polyphony with the ethnomusicologist Simha Arom. Willing to improve as a composer with renown musicians, he namely meet and receive advices from Tristan Murail, Toshio Hosokawa, Mark Andre, Jean-Luc Hervé, Yan Maresz, Raphaël Cendo and Yann Robin, before to be selected to follow the Cursus program on composition and computer music at IRCAM Centre Pompidou. In 2019, he enters the Ph.D program SACRe of Université PSL, within the École Normale Supérieure doctoral school and under the direction of Makis Solomos and Gérard Pesson.
Florent C. Darras has worked with Ensemble Intercontemporain, Ars Nova, Cairn, 2E2M, TM+, Court-Circuit, Multilatérale, Muromachi (Tokyo), the performers Marie Ythier, Annabelle Jarre, Fanny Vicens, Nicolas Arsenijevic, or the conductors Matthias Pintscher, David Reiland, Léo Warynski and Simon Proust. His music has been broadcasted on France Musique national radio station, has been played on the GRM's acousmonium, and has been performed at the Philharmonie de Paris, the Tokyo Philharmony Bunka Kaikan, the Studio 104 (Maison de la Radio), the Centquatre-Paris, and in occasions such as the festival ManiFeste (Ircam - Centre Pompidou), the festival Présences (Radio France), the Universal Exhibition of Milano, or the festival Mixtur (Barcelona).
He received support by the Fondation de France, the Meyer Foundation, and the Sacem.

電子音楽と伝統音楽（特にペルシャ、日本、グルジア音楽）に感心があるフローラン キャロン ダラスは、音のモデル、マイクロリズム、装飾音を問う音楽を書き、タイトルでも人間、テクノロジー、環境の関係からインスピレーションを受けています。
1986年に日本で生まれたフローラン・C・ダラスは、フランスのアンジェでグレゴリオ聖歌と古典打楽器で音楽活動を始めました。パリ・ソルボンヌ大学にて現代日本音楽の研究で修士号を取得後、パリ国立高等音楽院（CNSMDP）にて作曲（Stefano GervasoniとLuis Naónのクラス）、即興、分析（一等賞）、美学（音楽と音風景に関する論文で最優秀賞を受賞）の4部門で修士号を授与されました。フランス国内コンクール「Agrégation」受賞後、カソリック大学で教鞭をとりながら、民族音楽学者Simha Arom氏のもとでグルジアのポリフォニーについて研究しています。トリスタン・ミュライユ、細川俊夫、マーク・アンドレ、ジャン・リュック・エルヴェ、ヤン・マレシュ、ラファエル・センド、ヤン・ロバンら著名な音楽家と出会い、アドバイスを受けながら作曲家として活動しています。2019年、PSL大学の博士課程SACReに入学、École Normale Supérieure博士課程の中で、Makis SolomosとGérard Pessonの指導のもとで学ぶ。
アンサンブル・レガードのディレクターであるフローラン・C・ダラスは、アンサンブル・アンテルコンタンポランのほか、アルス・ノヴァ、ケアン、室町（東京）、マリー・イティエ、アナベル・ジャール、ファニー・ビセンス、ニコラ・アルセニエヴィッチ、マティアス・ピンシェル、デヴィッド・レイラン、レオ・ワリンスキ、サイモン・プルーストの指揮者とも数回にわたって仕事をしている。また、パリ・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、東京フィルハーモニー文化会館、ラジオ会館スタジオ104、パリ・セントカトル、ポンピドゥー・センターのマニフェスト、ラジオ・フランスのプレザンス、ミラノ万博、バルセロナ・ミクサーなどでも演奏されている。
フランス財団、マイヤー財団、サセムからの支援を受けている。
