Chicago, United States
Fierce received her artist name from the streets of the south side of Chicago as her style, hard hitting lyrics, and forceful flow surprised many people as she was very short, petite, and looked like the most innocent girl next door. Fierce has been writing, rapping, and competing in spoken word competitions since she was 11 years old. As she approached her teens she quickly moved into battles and often walked away a winner. She is perhaps known best for her versatility, she can meet a person at whatever level they are at and speak their language as being from a military family she is well traveled and has had the privilege to mix and mingle with people from all over the world in all classes.
Her lyrics and flow tell the entire story of how she earned the street and stage name Fierce. She often writes from the perspective of a person in a situation and she has a limitless imagination. She is also a great story teller which makes her the perfect spoken word artist. She also overflows with intense passion and guarantees by the time she gets done you will be feeling her from 500 miles away. She has the ability to connect with an audience no matter who she is speaking in front of and take them on a journey that they will want to stay on for life. Her trademark is to always leave the audience wanting more. Her art is just as mysterious as she is, always full of twists and turns and the unexpected. You never know what is going to happen next. She has a smooth flow that anyone can relate to as she is also a conscious poet.
You can only expect one thing from her, several more great things to come in the future, she consistently delivers a punch everywhere she goes, there is no such thing as her entering a room and walking out unnoticed. So hold on tight, you are in for a ride, her freshman album, Verbal Quiet Storm, which explores all aspects of a relationship from the time you first see him or her right on into marriage. Fierce is also working on collaboration, Song of Solomon, with Michael Annotti, Star Music Award Winner, and member of the band Somos. She will also be working with LL Cool J’s newly discovered R&B sensation, Shaun Mykals, in both collaborations and performances and is to be a guest performer on “An Evening with Shaun Mykals” which is to air on BET J in January. Fierce is also currently the number one most popular female independent artist on imeem.com with over 88,000 fans. Fierce will continue to take spoken word into a new frontier with a style all her own as she now works to form her band which will fuse hip hop, jazz, blues, and spoken word to create an entirely new sound unlike anything you have ever heard.
Fierce is also making herself known in online spoken word competitions as she made the top 20 in the famecast.com spoken word contest in 2006 as well as finished in 11th place in October 2008 on the ourstage.com spoken word contest. She has started touring the country being seen in Chicago and Washington DC at the AIMC and Fashion Expo as well as the Mocha Hut on U Street in DC, where she shared the stage with Talaam Acey among other popular names in spoken word. She has been invited to perform this spring on the Vote Tour in New York, Miami, and Las Vegas. Fierce will also be seen performing at vre7.com events.
