ferrymanrock Dortmund If you ask a fan of Ferryman's music what they like about it, you will hear a number of different elements. Some say it's the variety of influences on the music, from classic hard rock and heavy or symphonic metal to modern rock and power ballads. Others say it's the musicianship of the band members. Some will tell you it's all about the live shows, where Ferryman always get the audience on side and make them really feel the songs. Some will say that it's a mark of quality that Ferryman has remained on the increasingly unstable music scene for ten whole years. A Ferryman rock show is always high energy and full steam ahead. The audience is part of the show from the start, and from one singalong chorus to the next roaring guitar solo, they know they are part of something special. The music, ranging from catchy guitar riffs to bombastic piano and choir-based pieces to emotive ballads, deals with themes ranging from everyday human experiences such as injustice, rebellion, love, loss, conflict and overcoming one's personal demons to the mystical and mythological. Any audience will tell you that the band members love playing live shows; you can see it in their every movement, and you can hear it in the onstage jokes. The band members always make themselves available to the audience members for a chat, and sometimes an afterparty (something which is gaining increased notoriety) and enjoy staying in touch with their fans on social media. 2015 sees the tenth anniversary of the founding of Ferryman in Dortmund, Germany. The rise of the band over the last decade has seen the release of three EPs and a full album ("What Is Mine", Van Holt Recordings, 2014), tours in Germany, the UK and the Netherlands, and support slots for prominent acts such as Axxis, House of Lords, Livingston, Krypteria and various line-ups of Jane. Ferryman's main fan bases are in the Ruhrgebiet area of Germany and the north of England, where vocalist and songwriter Andy Jones has his roots. The band is branching out further now, with a 17-date headliner UK tour as well as more dates in further EU countries planned for 2016. The momentum is building - if you haven't experienced Ferryman yet, it's time you did! ferrymanrock’s tracks Ferryman - A Storm Is Coming (What is Mine Album) by ferrymanrock published on 2014-03-31T19:42:34Z "WHAT IS MINE" - Album Preview by ferrymanrock published on 2014-03-28T02:05:11Z Ferryman - The Clown (The Clown, 2012) by ferrymanrock published on 2013-09-15T18:02:31Z Ferryman - Ferryman's Lament (The Clown, 2012) by ferrymanrock published on 2013-09-15T17:55:05Z Ferryman - Generation Self-Destruct (The Clown, 2012) by ferrymanrock published on 2013-09-15T17:54:16Z Ferryman - Terrified (Back to the River 2008) by ferrymanrock published on 2013-09-15T17:47:37Z Ferryman - Voyage To Valhalla (Back to the River 2008) by ferrymanrock published on 2013-09-15T17:43:56Z Ferryman - Back To The River (Back to the River 2008) by ferrymanrock published on 2013-09-15T17:43:26Z Ferryman - City At Night (Back to the River 2008) by ferrymanrock published on 2013-09-15T17:40:52Z Ferryman - Time (Back to the River 2008) by ferrymanrock published on 2013-09-15T17:37:38Z
