Femii Julita Stankevic Vilnius Julita was born in Vilnius on the 24th of February, 1990. „It all started when I was 16 and downloaded the Fruity Loops app. I was putting samples together but soon ran out of motivation to keep going...“ – this is how Julita describes the outset of her career in music. In 2006, being already quite familiar with house and techhouse music, Julita still did not dare to turn her love of music into a career, and further followed a period of silence. However, in 2009, at the age of 19, Julita realized that her life wouldn‘t make sense without music, so she held her first appearance at a private party – which makes 2009 her debut year. First Femii played dark minimal sounds, but, as the saying has it, the farther in the deeper, so very soon pure minimal got way too scanty, and in search of a richer sound Julita got acquainted with techno. Perc, Mike DEHNERT, Oscar Mulero were her first inspirations which put her on the right track. In 2010 Femii began recording sets. Playing at friends' homes, in the basements and underground studios brought her priceless experience. In 2011, with the first real gig, the festival „Ravana 2011“, she started to take the development of her skills more seriously. More frequent performances led to the District Facility – Femii became a member of the team. That was the point when she started to create her own works: Biomechanics – the first EP released by Audioexit netlabel (Hungary) in February, 2013. It was intended specially for series of team parties by the same name – Biomechanics. Then flooded invitations for remixes and EPs, and it was time to create the second EP of her own: Unpleasantday released by Kidnappingnetlabel. Femii‘s rising creative energy then applied itself in collaboration with such labels as: Modular Expansion Switch Off Records Cicuta netlabel Audioexit rec. Kidnapping rec.
