Female Frequencies explores the musical talent of women around the world and across boundaries – from experimental Electronica to Techno, from Africa to Iceland. Aschka, Kritzkom and Rona Geffen present an hour-long monthly show on reboot.fm (Berlin), Chimeres Radio (Athens) and worldwide on the internet, revealing a side of the musical spectrum that deserves to be heard. We are producers and DJs from different continents, working and playing in different genres. Since 2013, we have been delving deeper into the musical reality of many contemporary female artists with the aim of increasing awareness of an entire body of talent that often suffers from lack of exposure. By supporting women in music with our show, we hope to improve the gender balance while giving a voice to artists who may be underplayed.
