He used to play piano in Whitey Kaufman's band in the early-mid '20s. These are some of the songs I found on old 78 RPM vinyl records that I had converted to digital. These songs were published by Gennett Records in Richmond, Indiana. I never met Bert or his wife Marcella, as they were killed in an auto accident on Dec. 15, 1940.
