I am Falcito - Electronic Music Producer from Germany NRW. Main genre Progressive House and Techno.
Already in my childhood I started to play music on an electronic organ (today's name for a keyboard).
I grew up in the middle of the most impressive time of electronic music. I experienced the development of Rave, Wave, Acid, New Beat and later Synth Pop as well as the youth culture of the techno scene. Furthermore I was extremely influenced by my role models. For me, this includes especially the electronic music of the 70s, 80s and 90s like Jean-Michel Jarre, KRAFTWERK, Richie Hawtin, Tangerine Dream, Anne Clark, Front242, Depeche Mode, Yello and of course many more musicians.
I was also allowed to witness the development of the synthesizers. The big names like Korg, Roland, Moog, Oberheim, Yamaha, Casio and many more impressed me. But the money for such an instrument was missing. But luckily there was my teacher for organ lessons. He had in his studio some of these instruments which were out of reach for me. After a successful lesson I was allowed to play on one of the synthesizers as a reward - but to the teacher's chagrin. On the one hand, I always made a lot of noise and it didn't take long until I put on headphones and on the other hand, he hardly got me away from the instrument later on. Already here as a child I had the great wish to own my own synthesizer one day, on which I could experiment undisturbed.
At the beginning of the 80s the time had come. Under the Christmas tree stood my first synthesizer, the Yamaha DX7. Now the madness took its course, because nobody could get me away from the device. If my parents hadn't been so energetic, I would even have forgotten to eat and drink. What was probably the most annoying thing - I recorded certain sequences over and over again for hours. When I was satisfied at some point, I recorded the whole thing. For that I used a cassette recorder. When friends visited me, they always wanted me to play something. I then played rehearsed sequences from a current track in the charts. With that I obviously impressed even then. I still remember how my friends often said to me: "You will definitely become a musician later - that sounds really damn good".
In the meantime, it's been more than 30 years ago and on the long journey through electronic music I got to know a lot of highly talented musicians, exchanged ideas and made friends. Among them are also well-known musicians from the electronic music scene.
For many years I have only presented my productions to a very small group. At some point, however, the voices of the listeners and fans became so loud that there was no way around going public with my music.
In 2018 I searched intensively for a label, made countless contacts and started to spread my music. My listeners and fans have remained loyal to me and it makes me really happy and proud that there are more and more.
I will give everything to reward my listeners and fans with my music. The passion for electronic music is unbroken and remains my greatest passion. Thanks to the support of my listeners and fans - you make sure that it stays that way and that I can live my dream.
For my productions I use older analog, modern digital and modular musical instruments. Basically, I am particularly interested in the synthesis of the instruments. If it is an older analog instrument, it can sometimes take a few months before I can create satisfying sounds. In the end, however, it is very important to me that each of my tracks contains my unique signature "Made by Falcito".
Now I hope to have given you a good insight with my biography.
